Printing and exporting from a desktop or laptop computer installation

Printing topics

To print a topic, click Print in the topic tools area at upper right. The system displays a version of the topic that is formatted for printing. Select the Options to print (Text, Graphics, References) and click Print. Click 'Close' when printing is complete.

Copying and pasting text from topics

Click and drag to select the text that you want to copy, use the standard system shortcut keys to copy/paste the text into the desired location.

Printing Medline abstracts and graphics

In the window in which a Medline abstract or a graphic image is displayed, select Print from the File menu to print the abstract or graphic.

Exporting Medline abstracts and graphics

To export a Medline abstract or a graphic image so that you can view it independently from the UpToDate application, select Save As from the File menu in the window in which the abstract or graphic is displayed to save the abstract or graphic as an HTML file.
