UNLABELLED:
Neonatal hyperthyroidism may give rise to serious cardiovascular complications. A girl with severe thyrotoxicosis in whom hypertensive encephalopathy developed is described.
CONCLUSION:
Neonatal thyrotoxicosis can give rise to hypertension and may lead to hypertensive encephalopathy.
